Abstract:
Based on field surveys, we recorded 82 families, 216 genera, and 495 species (including subspecies) of woody plants in Wanshan, which included 5 families, 6 genera, and 7 species of gymnosperms; 77 families, 210 genera, and 488 species of angiosperms, including 3 families, 7 genera, and 17 species of monocotyledons, and 74 families, 203 genera, and 471 species of dicotyledons. Floristic analysis showed that:(1) The geog-raphical composition of the flora was complex and diverse, with obvious temperate characteristics, and closely linked with tropical flora; (2) The floristic features of the Wanshan flora were relatively primitive, with many ancient and relic taxa; (3) Many species were endemic to China; (4) Compared with the woody flora of six adjacent areas, the Wanshan flora was closely related to that of Damu Mountain in Chongqing, but distant to that of Lugu lake.
