Abstract:We got a Capsicum frutescens L. mutant with the traits of dwarfing and pericarp crimpling from the wild type’Huaijiao No 6’(Capsicum frutescens L.),which were irradiated by ray of 60Co-γ.The mutant has an obviously characters of dwarfing plant and sparse lateral branches, and the pericarp of Capsicum frutescens L. is quite crimpling. There is no any differences between wild type and mutant in the traits of flowering, fruit length, leaf length, fruit setting capacity, weight of single fruit, fruit wall thickness and locule number, etc. The mutational traits might be controlled by a recessive locus based on the genetic analysis and confirmed by RAPD validation.
