Study on Chromosome Numbers of Two Paraphlomis Species

Abstract：In this paper, chromosome numbers of two Paraphlomis species were reported for the first time.The chromosome numbers of the tested two species,Paraphlomis hispida and P.javanica,are the same,namely 2n=2x=34 and their basic chromosome number is x=17,which is different from x=10 or 11 for Phlomis.Therefore,our results indicate that Paraphlomis and Phlomis are different genera,respectively.
