Abstract
Vitaceae are a family of dicotyledons that contain 16 genera and more than 700 species. Among them, Vitis is a typical genus mainly distributed in East Asia, North America, Europe, and Central Asia. Grapes mainly propagate via asexual reproduction and have many inter-regional exchange events among varieties, which lead to homonym or synonym phenomena and difficulties in classification and identification. In this study, we compared the conserved coding regions of four species of Vitis and developed 93 conserved sequences. We found that a sequence homologous to KOG3174 could be used to develop polymorphic molecular markers. We designed three pairs of primers, which could be implemented for the identification of the four species of Vitis at the molecular level.
