THE FLORA OF WANMULIN IN NORTH FUJIAN PROVINCE

  • Wanmulin(WML),a nature reserve, is located in the northern part of Fujian Province, at 27°03′N and 118°09′E.The annual average temperature and rainfall are 18.7℃ and 1673.3mm.The regional vegetation is the evergreen broadleaf forest. There are 1119 species of vascular plants belonging to 160 families and 580 genera in WML. The main families of the flora are lauraceae, Fagaceae, Magnoliaceae, Elaeocarpaceae,Theaceae,Symplocaceae and Myrsinaceae etc. ,most of them are tropical or subtropical distribution. According to the geographical distribution of spermatophytic genera in WML, they may be divided into 13 types of geographical elements, which are mostly Pantropic(29.0%),North Temperature(15.1%),TropicaI Asia(13.0%)and East Asia (11.3%).By analysis of the floristic relationships with the simi-larity coefficients of genera and fuzzy cluster between WML and adjacents mountains,it showed that the similar coefficients between WML and Wuyishan(Fujian), Lushan(Jiangxi),Jiulongshan(Zhejiang)etc.are higher than the those between it and Luofushan(Guangdong) etc.Altough it belongs to the flora of East China, WML has also showed the transitional characteristics between the flora of E.China and that of S.China.
