  • The karyotypes and chromosome numbers in the root-tip cells of R.siboldii and R.sceleratus were studied.The chromosome numbers in these species were found to be 2n=32.Their karyotype formulas are presented as follows; R.sieboldii L.K(2n)=4x=32=16m+8sm+8st, R.sceleratus L.,K(2n)=4x=32=8m+24sm.
